Warren Remington broke into a run. The tremendous amount of electrical energy which he discharged from his hand was meant to scare the girl, or stun her if a tendril of it actually lands on her- but unfortunately, she just ignored the lightning bolt and continued fleeing from him. Soma Bar at night was very dimly lit, with only four orange-tinted lamps lighting the interior. It was deserted except for a couple of patrons, but the owner/bartender rented this space specifically because it did not attract customers. He didn't need money- he needed information.
